This group covers Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Indian and other Asian cuisines that are not Chinese, and the etiquette varies by kitchen. Japanese and Korean restaurants often take reservations for dinner and may add a service charge for large groups; Thai and Vietnamese spots are usually walk-in and quick-turnover. Spice levels are frequently adjustable on request at Thai, Indian and Sichuan-adjacent menus, so say if you want it mild or hot. Korean BBQ restaurants typically charge per person for all-you-can-eat service with a time limit, and grills are shared at the table. Vietnamese pho shops post bowl sizes (regular or large) and a plate of herbs, bean sprouts and lime is normal to add yourself. Card and tap-to-pay are widely accepted; cash-only is more common at small family-run counters.

Flushing is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Traffic in Flushing peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

After several excellent takeout experiences, I decided to dine in today and was equally impressed. The staff were warm, attentive, and welcoming, and the food was prepared with great care. The sashimi was exceptionally fresh, with the tuna standing out in particular for its quality and flavor. I also thoroughly enjoyed the lunch special and the negitoro roll, both of which were well-executed and delicious. Combined with the consistently friendly service, the overall experience was outstanding. I will certainly be returning and would highly recommend Hachikawa to anyone looking for quality Japanese cuisine and genuine hospitality.

The food itself is great and of good value. Weโve come here several times, mostly for takeout, and dined in once. However, thereโs a big problem that takes the rating down multiple stars for me. Every single time weโve ordered takeout, weโve had to wait OVER 30 minutes after arriving to pick it up (and we always arrive at least 30 minutes after placing the order, *as instructed over phone or online*). Itโs almost as if they do not begin preparing the order until we physically show up. Iโm writing this review while waiting for the food again, having waited an additional 45 minutes already this time. On top of the instructed 30. The fact that the restaurant takes a long time to prepare the food is not the problem. However, it is necessary to inform customers accordingly. If they need an hour, they should let us know beforehand โ that way, we can plan to order even more in advance, instead of wasting time sitting there every time. For potential customers, this review is a warning to order much earlier in advance (although, if theyโre waiting until customers arrive to begin preparing the order, that would be futile). For the restaurant, Iโd advise giving more accurate information o

Today is my youngest daughter's birthday. They provided excellent service and gave us a small cake as a gift. The waiters and the owner were very kind, and the food was fresh and delicious. It was a wonderful memory.

I stopped by and had such a great experience! The food was absolutely delicious and the service was amazing from start to finish. The sushi tasted incredibly fresh and flavorful, you can really tell they use quality ingredients. It seems like a brand new spot, and theyโre already doing a fantastic job. The lunch menu is also very reasonably priced, which makes it an even better deal. Definitely worth checking out if youโre in the area. Iโll absolutely be coming back! We had a chicken teriyaki bento box and two sushi rolls with miso soup and salad. It was so filling & absolutely quality food. FRESH SUSHI!!! ๐
